UPMC Italy is issuing a call for applications for the following no-term position: 1 Medical Physicist (Ref. FS UPMC/20)

UPMC Italy’s clinical and scientific activity mainly focuses on transplantation and oncology, but also involves other specialties: from emergency medicine to neurosurgery, from preventive medicine to cardiac surgery.
UPMC Italy offers professional opportunities in an international and multicultural setting at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at San Pietro FBF Advanced Radiotherapy Center in Rome. The Center offers innovative radiotherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery with advanced care protocols for cancer patients. In 2017, the Center received accreditation from Joint Commission International (JCI).
The medical physicist performs acceptance testing and quality controls on the linear accelerator, implements and validates TPS, and uses conventional and special techniques to implement methods and perform plans of treatment (stereotaxy, IMRT, and VMAT). He/she is also responsible for the safety and quality of all devices used for radiation therapy with ionizing and non-ionizing radiations.

Other requisites: Knowledge of 3D, IMRT/Rapidarc/VMAT, IGRT, and SRS/SBRT techniques; English proficiency; teamwork and stress management skills.
The contract offered will be commensurate with the experience and skills of the selected candidate.
The workplace is Rome.
