On February 24th 2018 UPMC San Pietro FBF Advanced Radiotherapy Center, in partnership with the Italian Association of Radiation Therapists and Radius, organized a workshop on IGRT and Adaptive Radiotherapy that took place in the Villa Maria conference hall (Salvator Mundi International Hospital | UPMC ).
The aim was to foster the discussion among Radiation Therapists on protocols and immobilization devices for Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (SRS/SBRT) in order to draft and share guidelines for IGRT. Presentations on radiation protection, adaptive radiotherapy and UPMC San Pietro FBF protocols were given by Luca Capone, Leonardo Nicolini, Marta Melli and Federica Lusini (in the picture below). The event was attended by more than 100 radiation therapists from Rome and surrounding areas as well as 30 students from the major roman universities.
